The Swedish ones aren\u2019t violent, nothing is burned and there \nare no clashes with the police.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I am here for the poor elderly who paid tax their whole lives and now are forced to starve<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, speakers are cheered on by excited crowds. People are angry \nof course, but hopeful as well. The atmosphere can be described as a mix\n between a protest, political event and folk festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around 1000 Swedes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.friatider.se\/gula-v-star-n-r-hundratals-svenskar-demonstrerade-mot-migrationspakten\">gathered outside Parliament in Stockholm<\/a> to protest against the UN Migration Pact on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HqSpZvLYG78?version=3&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Plenty of Swedish flags, placards and<strong> yellow vests<\/strong> were seen.  Children participated as well. \u201cWe are not extremists. We are ordinary  Swedes\u201d, shouted the protesters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not about political colours, it\u2019s about the people, one of the speakers\u201d, journalist Katerina Janouch stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cI am here for the 9-year-old girl who was raped and beaten in a junk  room. I am here for all the women who no longer dare go out.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cI am here for the poor elderly who paid tax their whole lives and  now are forced to starve. I am here for the homeless. I am here for  those who don\u2019t get what the social contract promises.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Janouch, all Swedes, regardless of political \naffiliation, should participate in the demonstrations and protest \nagainst the politics in Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cWe don\u2019t need more division in this country.<\/strong> It is the ones in power that want us to turn against each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cWe need to unite.<\/strong> I want the Swedish people to stand together against the abuse of power that\u2019s going on in Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe will not give up\u201d, she continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m originally from Czechoslovakia and in 1989 the communist  occupation fell. It is called <strong>the Velvet Revolution<\/strong>. Do you know how it  started?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe pen, the written word. The first time there were 30 people, they  were arrested. Next time 300, and then came 3000. Then the revolution  was a fact.
